Sophia Kokosalaki recently spent time on the
island of
Crete where she thought of ideas for her upcoming fashion. The answer was Egyptian. “It’s not so far. I looked at ancient Egyptian costume, and there’s something sixties in there you see in a lot of movies on Greek television. But, you know, it’s always done in a young and ironic way.” Many fashion designers must have been feeling the same way because it has been quite popular in spring and summer collections.
